Help clean-up stadium

6 July 2014

Your assistance required this weekend

The club is appealing for your help once again to help spruce up the Cherry Red Records Stadium in time for a prestigious pre-season friendly against Chelsea.

This Saturday and Sunday is our second clean-up weekend during the close season and volunteers turned out in force for the first one at the end of May (the picture gallery above shows Dons fans carrying out various jobs around the ground).

We are hoping for another good response this weekend with plenty of jobs required to be done ahead of the first pre-season home match against Chelsea on Saturday, 19 July.

Jobs outside the ground include clearing weeds and cutting back foliage in the main and overflow car parks, while painting barriers on the terraces and stands are examples of work that needs to be completed inside the stadium.

It would be appreciated if you could bring your own tools with the usual devices required for gardening, but bringing along electrical extension leads would be helpful and multi power points, hoses and power washers.

There is painting to be done but we will supply paint, brushes, sand paper and white spirit.

or contact 020 8547 3528. Work starts on each day at 9.30 am and finishes at 5.00 pm. Your AFC Wimbledon   If you can spare an hour or two (perhaps longer if possible) on 12/13 July, then please e-mail us by clicking on

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day and lunch will be served.
