Match details for trip to Kent this Saturday

AFC Wimbledon get their pre-season programme underway at Margate Town on Saturday with adult tickets available for just £8.

It will be a new-look Dons squad with Neal Ardley expected to give game-time to his summer signings and Wimbledon will also come up against several familiar faces with Terry Brown and Stuart Cash having been installed as Margate’s managerial team last season.

Terry and Stuart (pictured with Simon Bassey and the Conference Play-Off trophy above) have strengthened their squad during the summer with the acquisitions of Dons promotion heroes Luke Moore and Brett Johnson and the Kent club are expected to make a big challenge in the Ryman Premier next season.

Neal Ardley plans to give all of his squad runs-outs at Hartsdown Park on Saturday.

“We will play two mixed teams and everyone will play for 45 minutes because they don’t need any more than that at this stage,” Neal said. “We are very conscious of injuries and we will build them up in terms of fitness, but also give them recovery between each hard training session. We will be ready come 9 August.”

Entry prices for Saturday’s match are as follows:

Adults £8; Concessions £5 (Male over-65s, Female over 60s, students with NUS cards); Young persons £3 (Under-18s); Family ticket one £10 (one adult and one young person); Family ticket two £22 (two adults and three young persons).
