Pre-season update for Under-18s

AFC Wimbledon Under-18s will be aiming to maintain their prolific start to pre-season tomorrow after another impressive victory on Tuesday.

A 4-0 win against AFC Hornchurch made it three wins in succession and 22 goals so far, ahead of an away match at Hayes & Yeading tomorrow.

The young Dons had to be patient to see off Hornchurch with all four goals coming during the second-half. Reece Batchelor, Alfie Egan, Egli Kaja (pictured) and Dom Bongo were all on target at home to Horchurch.

Under-18s manager Mark Robinson said: “I was really pleased with the boys today against good opposition. We showed very good intensity and discipline in our play and there was no shortage of quality technique all over the pitch. Our finishing left a bit to be desired and we could combine a little quicker in the final third, but we created a host of chances again and kept another clean sheet.”

Ben Harrison received the man of the match award for Wimbledon.
