Auction raises £1,310

Money raised will be donated to We Are Wimbledon Fund

The World Cup auction received big bids in its final few days with a total of £1,310 raised for the We Are Wimbledon Fund.

Unsurprisingly, lot three called “When Vinnie met Gazza” attracted the highest bid with that famous image of Wimbledon’s former midfielder man-marking Paul Gascoigne, signed by both players, going for £510.

 , which goes directly towards Neal Ardley’s playing budget.We Are Wimbledon FundAll money raised from the auction, organised by Ray Armfield, will now be donated to the 

Lifelong supporter Mike Richardson has promised to match all contributions from fans made to the We Are Wimbledon Fund or one-off donations to the playing budget during June. Of course, this has helped Neal Ardley so far bring in four players, including Matt Tubbs and Adebayo Akinfenwa.
