Neal Ardley has thanked Mike Richardson for an “unbelievably generous” offer towards the summer playing budget and he believes it could make a big difference to his plans.
Mike, who has been a Wimbledon supporter for over 50 years, has pledged to match every new £1 donation made by fans towards the playing budget during June.
With the club’s Vice President promising to match up to £100,000 of new donations, it means that an extra £200,000 could be allocated to Neal’s transfer fund.
Neal Ardley said: “Mike’s offer is unbelievably generous. I speak regularly with Mike and he appreciates how hard it is to get better players in on a budget. We are aiming to raise the standard by signing players who are better than this level. Mike’s contribution could make a big difference in doing this as we try to improve the squad from last season.”
