James Pullen solved goalkeeping crisis in 2007/08

The club’s new Admiral kits will be launched on Sunday, 29 June and our countdown continues by remembering a season when Dons fans became accustomed to seeing a new man between the sticks!

8 – “Jeepers keepers” for Dons

The established Andy Little started the season, but he broke two fingers against AFC Hornchurch, leading to full-back Luke Garrard keeping a second-half clean sheet. Corrin Brooks-Meade was hastily borrowed from Fulham, but he suffered a knee injury 63 minutes into his debut and was replaced by another debutant in Ben Symons. Danny Knowles then arrived on loan from Grays Athletic for the next match. When his loan expired, Tottenham junior Lee Butcher was called up until James Pullen (pictured) was signed in February. And let’s not forget Paul Seuke and Elliot Ransom with the pair turning out in London and Surrey Senior Cup ties during the same season. During 2007/08, AFC Wimbledon used eight different recognised goalkeepers.
