Kit launch countdown recalls superb Premier League run
The club’s new Admiral kits will be launched on Sunday, 29 June and our countdown continues by remembering a memorable winning run from Wimbledon's Premier League days.

The season 1996/97 began with three straight defeats and the usual pessimists were quick to sneer that this was the year Wimbledon would get their top-flight comeuppance. But Joe Kinnear (pictured) and his Crazy Gang hadn’t read the script and they proceeded to notch up seven straight victories to propel themselves up the Premiership. The run included beating Tottenham 1-0, Everton 4-0, Chelsea 4-2 and they were not defeated again until 22 December. The Dons eventually finished eighth in the table and reached the semi-finals of both domestic cup competitions – agonisingly missing out on a trip to Wembley in the Coca Cola League Cup on away goals to Leicester City.
