Academy Head Coach says his side have set the standard

AFC Wimbledon Under-18s manager Mark Robinson has challenged his players to show the same level of commitment on a regular basis that lifted them to an excellent victory last Saturday.

Dons You TubeHighlights of Wimbledon's impressive victory last Saturday can be viewed by clicking on  The young Dons beat Milton Keynes 5-1 last time out with all five goals scored by George Oakley, but Mark says they cannot let their standards slip if they want to get anything out of their home match against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.

“After such an impressive victory, the boys have been in a very upbeat mood,” said Mark. “However, I have continuously been stressing to them individually and collectively why such a victory was achieved. Nobody loves talent and technique more than me, but you can get an awful long way in life with consistent passion, desire and a lot of hard work.

“I will be without the three second year boys again this week so the first year boys on the bench last week need to step-up to the mark and I will be looking to the rest of our lads to show the same commitment as last week. In this league if you drop your standards slightly you can get punished and it will be no different at home to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.”

We wish to thank AFC Wimbledon Academy Performance Analyst James Scott for putting together the highlights video.
