Dons fans can watch first-teamers tonight
The Dons have selected a strong squad for tonight’s London Senior Cup second round tie against Cray Wanderers (7.30 pm start at Beckenham Town FC).
As we announced yesterday, Andy Frampton, Peter Sweeney, Chris Arthur (pictured), Jake Nicholson and Ashley Bayes will all be involved to provide an experienced edge to a squad containing youngsters from Shaun North’s Under-21s.
It’s a scenario that Shaun North believes will be of great benefit to his young players in their development.
“It’s fantastic for the young lads to be alongside such experienced professionals, but they have to start showing what they’re about as players themselves,” said Shaun. “We’re looking for a good performance and to hopefully win the game. We also want the senior players to come through the game unscathed in preparation for the first-team.”
