Your help wanted to increase Neal Ardley's playing budget
The We Are Wimbledon Fund has so far provided a significant boost to Neal Ardley’s playing squad – and you can help give the campaign another push forward by volunteering on Saturday.
A team of volunteers is needed at Saturday’s York City match to try and sign-up more supporters for this valuable scheme. A total of 220 supporters are currently signed up to the We Are Wimbledon Fund (WAWF) and they regularly contribute direct debits towards the club’s playing budget.
Having improved his squad significantly last summer with signings such as Andy Frampton (pictured left above on the day he signed), Neal Ardley is fully aware of the importance of this scheme – and he hopes further funds will help him strengthen for 2014/15.
“When you look at how far we’ve come in the last 18 months, then the funding has certainly helped,” said Neal. “The squad is the best since I’ve been here and we are working hard on our recruitment for next season. We want to ensure that our squad is better again for next season and contributions from the We Are Wimbledon Fund will help us to do that.”
