A festival of football

AFC Wimbledon Academy take centre stage tomorrow

There’s a full day of football action at the Cherry Red Records Stadium tomorrow with AFC Wimbledon’s young talents taking centre stage.

Entry is FREE for all and if you’re not travelling to Accrington Stanley to watch the first-team then there’s plenty of incentive to get down to the club.

The academy’s younger teams (Under-9s up to Under-16s) will play teams from Crystal Palace, before an exciting game under the lights for Mark Robinson’s Under-18s against Brentford.

Speaking about Saturday’s festival of football, Academy Head of Coaching Mark Robinson said: “It’s a great opportunity for fans to come along and watch the club’s potential stars of the future. Our younger age groups will be playing against an academy from a Premier League club and the day will conclude with the Under-18s aiming to extend their unbeaten run against Brentford. The boys will be excited to play at the ground and it would be great if we could get a good turnout to support our teams.”

Below is the full schedule of matches:

Under-9s, Under-10s & Under-11s (9.00 am start)

Under-15s / Under-16s (11.00 am start)
