Your pictures from three years ago

Generations of Dons supporters came together to cheer the Dons back into the Football League three years ago and it was a day up in Manchester that will never be forgotten.

that winning penalty from Danny Kedwell went in. after Young and old fans are pictured in our gallery of photographs with Nicholas Jarrett having sent in the above image of his father and brother

All the photographs above were sent in via the AFC Wimbledon official Facebook page, Twitter and e-mail.

Mark Goldman sent in a picture of his daughter Maria celebrating (image on the home page) with the message: "She was eight at the time and she still talks about the day. The two pictures I've sent in are of Maria and Haydon showing their mutual appreciation at the moment that we won."

It wasn’t just Dons fans who responded to our request for Manchester memories.

Luton fan Eamonn Boylan said: “I would have to say it was a heartbreaking result for us, but I know all the Luton fans were happy to see AFC Wimbledon back where you belong. I’m looking forward to playing you again next season.”

Dons fans Nigel Adams, whose picture of the penalty shoot-out is featured in our gallery, said “It was my eight-year-old son's first AFC Wimbledon game (he’s now a season ticket holder) and what an intro!”

Lee Stone said: “What a day...grown men in tears because it meant so much to everyone. What real football is all about. I don't even know the guy I'm hugging in my photograph!”

We wish to thank all those supporters who sent in pictures of an historic day for AFC Wimbledon.
