Rob Cura says his talents are worth a look

Rob Cura marked his return from retirement with a man of the match display for Wimbledon FC recently – and then told Roy Hodgson that he could be worth a shock late call-up for the World Cup!

Rob, who can play in midfield or up front, recaptured the quality that made him such a hot property during his golden days with Dossers United, a team that brushed aside the opposition in the British Universities League many years ago.

Following his goal for Wimbledon FC in a thrilling charity match against AFC Wimbledon that ended 4-4, Rob staked his claim for a late call-up for the World Cup.

“I’ve been trying to do seven a day like Ronaldo,” Rob said. “That’s five a day of fruit and veg, along with an Indian and a Chinese meal. It’s up to Roy, but if I do get the call then I’ll be ready. He’s not got my number, but I’m on LinkedIn and Twitter so he knows where he can get me.

“The last time England did okay in a World Cup was when Gary Lineker was playing. He was a poacher and if I get the same opportunities then I can win the golden boot in Brazil.”
