QPR midfielder joins on loan

QPR midfielder Frankie Sutherland has joined the Dons on loan.

The 20 year-old, who has previously spent time on loan at Leyton Orient and Portsmouth, has put pen to paper on a one month deal.

Sutherland, who has featured regularly for Steve Gallen’s Under-21 side this term, will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s game against Northampton Town.

Under the terms of the loan deal, Sutherland is also eligible to play in the FA Cup and the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Manager Neal Ardley said “Frankie is a player we have monitored for the last six months, since he came back from his injury.

“He is a strong, combative midfielder, an intelligent passer of the ball and we have seen his fitness and influence on games grow throughout the season. Frankie will be an excellent addition to our squad and will be added to the squad for the game against Northampton.”
