Malcolm travelled thousands of miles for Dons games
New Zealand-based Wimbledon fan Malcolm Hogan travelled a long way to watch his beloved Dons lose twice, but meeting the man known as “The Beast” softened the blow.
Malcolm (left above) is pictured with Bayo Akinfenwa after the defeat to Stevenage, the second of two Wimbledon matches he attended during his trip.
Malcolm said: “Despite the results, it was fantastic to attend two Wimbledon matches. It took 32 hours to get here, but it’s been worth every minute. I now have a memory of being at an AFC Wimbledon match and I will have to come back if the move to Plough Lane happens.”
We recently featured photographs on the website and in the programme of supporters who travelled all the way from Australia to be at the Hartlepool match. If you are travelling from abroad to be at a Wimbledon match this season, then we will gratefully receive your pictures at the game for publication on the website or the club’s official Facebook page.
