Kevin in squad for cup

Spectators welcome for cup tie v Cherries

Kevin Sainte-Luce will increase his match sharpness with a run-out in tomorrow’s Premier League cup tie against AFC Bournemouth at the Cherry Red Records Stadium (2.00 pm kick-off).

The winger (pictured) will be one of three first-teamers involved with Mark Phillips and Jake Nicholson also in the squad. Spectators are welcome to attend this match tomorrow (admission £5).

Coach Alan Reeves will select a squad consisting of players from his Under-21s, first-teamers and trialists. Callum Wilson will be offered a chance at full-back after his fine start to the season and Dan Agyei, Ryan Sweeney, Billy Bishop, Billy Frost and Danny Gallagher are the other Under-18s in the squad.

With Tom Beere and Ben Harrison having featured for the first-team after performing well at Leyton Orient recently, Alan Reeves says tomorrow is a valuable opportunity for players in his squad to make an impression.

"The manager has shown already that he will pick players from the Under-21s if they are doing well," said Alan. "It's a shop window for the players tomorrow to show what they can do because the manager will be there again."

The match against AFC Bournemouth is in the Preliminary Round of a competition that is open to Premier League and Football League clubs that hold licenses to operate academies. Wimbledon reached the first round in the inaugural Premier League Cup competition last season by beating Gillingham.

Clubs can field three outfield players over the age of 21, as well as a goalkeeper.
