"Beast Mode" on at Paul Strank Roofing Charity Gala

Bayo Akinfenwa will be turning on "Beast Mode" for a challenge of a different kind tomorrow night - and there's still time to sponsor him.

Bayo will be hoping to add more Wimbledon goals against Morecambe tomorrow, but then he will be attempting to bench press the club's Commercial Director Ivor Heller at the Paul Strank Roofing Charity Gala.

Sponsorship from Bayo's challenge will also be donated to these two charities. One Life UK  and  Shooting Star Chase HospiceThe event at the Bank of England Sports Centre in Roehampton, will raise funds for   To donate towards Bayo’s Big Lift text XESX98 and your donation amount (£1/£2/£5) to 70070 or alternatively visithttps://www.justgiving.com/paul-strank-gala/

Along with a great musical line-up, Neal Ardley, Neil Cox, Alan Bennett and Andy Frampton will be present on an AFC Wimbledon table. There will also be an extra special AFC Wimbledon guest appearance at the gala organised by our valued club sponsors Paul Strank Roofing.

Bench-pressing is a test of upper body strength where you lie on your back and lift a heavy-laden metal bar vertically above the shoulders.

Bayo, who is listed on the FIFA 14 video game as the strongest footballer on the planet, regularly lifts big weights and lifting 5 ft tall Ivor is a challenge that was laid down to him at the club’s Meet the Manager event.
