Video: watch fun event wih Bayo and Ivor

He’s been recognised as the world’s strongest footballer and Bayo Akinfenwa lived up to his billing at the Paul Strank Roofing Charity Gala on Saturday.

“The Beast” was official recognised by EA Sports as the strongest player for FIFA 15 recently and just hours after netting his third Wimbledon goal against Morecambe he showed exactly why.

.You TubeBayo bench pressed AFC Wimbledon Commercial Director Ivor Heller four times and a video of this can be viewed by clicking on

It was all for a worthy cause with funds raised donated to Shooting Star Chase and One Life UK – the two designated charities for the Paul Strank Roofing Charity Gala.

A good amount has been raised thanks to the charity bench press, which received a big boost from businessman Theo Paphitis, who is best known for his TV appearances on Dragons Den. Just before the challenge, Paphitis offered to double the amount raised if Bayo could complete the challenge – and Wimbledon’s in-form striker passed with flying colours.

The bench press event earned coverage on Sky Sports and on the Daily Mirror website. There’s still time to donate for this valuable cause. Text XESX98 and your donation amount (£1/£2/£5) to 70070 or alternatively visit https://www.justgiving.com/paul-strank-gala/
