CPD from first team sports scientist and medical team •

Career mentoring from senior staff •

(e.g. MSc)  Availability of players for research projects •

First steps into a professional industry •

Both are voluntary roles and successful applicants will need to attend an interview.

Amy Shaw, who was a Sports Science Intern during 2014/15, is studying for a BSC Sport Science degree at London Metropolitan University, and working at the club was very useful for her development.

"The sport science internship at AFC Wimbledon has been a fantastic chance for me to put skills learnt from my degree into a practical environment. Week by week my sessions and knowledge have become stronger with feedback and help from all the staff. I'd highly recommend the internship to students and graduates who are looking to gain experience, confidence and in the future work within a professional football environment."
