Key club event ahead of 2015/16
Our open training day on Tuesday promises plenty of entertainment for Wimbledon supporters of all ages ahead of the new season.
Manager Neal Ardley will be introducing each part of his training session at the Cherry Red Records Stadium with the aim of providing an insight into preparations just four days before the big kick-off.
Below is a schedule of events for the day:
Doors open11.00 am
Training session on the pitch 11.30 am – 1.00 pm
Q & A with Neal Ardley for U-16s (in the middle bar) 1.00 pm – 1.30 pm
Football tournament for children, plus skills sessions with AFC Wimbledon Foundation coaches (at Kingsmeadow Athletics Centre) 1.30 – 3.30 pm
Junior Dons will be eligible to enter a prize draw with two chosen at random to get their photographs taken with the first-team squad. Please firstname.lastname@example.org confirm attendance with all Junior Dons automatically entered into the draw.
It is an open day that will be open to all supporters, young and old, but there are special events aimed at younger fans.
Haydon the Womble will be present and the community team will also be staging an inflatable shoot-out and a beat-the-keeper competition. Free snacks and a drink will be available for children and the bar will also be open at the event.
The club shop will be open for business on Tuesday.
