Picture marked Wimbledon's centenary
Supporters have posted great pictures from the old days at Plough Lane since the club’s application for a new stadium back in Merton was approved and the above photograph was a particularly memorable one.
It shows fans with a rather large "Centenary Cake" before the game against QPR on 4 November, 1989, a match that marked Wimbledon’s 100-year celebration.
Dons fan @AlanHibbs posted it on Twitter with the message: “Me and friends with centenary cake on Plough Lane pitch before the QPR match.”
