Extra details about open training day
There is an extra incentive for Junior Dons to attend our open training day on Tuesday, 4 August, at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.
Junior Dons will be eligible to enter a prize draw with two chosen at random to get their photographs taken with the first-team squad just four days before the new season gets underway.
Please e-mail info@afcwimbledon.co.uk to confirm attendance with all Junior Dons automatically entered into the draw.
Supporters will have an opportunity to watch Neal Ardley putting his squad through their paces in preparation for Wimbledon’s opening match of 2015/16 at home to Plymouth Argyle.
Neal will be introducing each part of the open training session to provide an insight for Wimbledon fans. It is an open day that will be open to all supporters, young and old, but there are special events aimed at younger fans.
Doors will open at 11.00 am and the AFC Wimbledon Foundation will be running a number of initiatives, including a Q & A in the middle bar for Under-16s with Neal Ardley.
Haydon the Womble will be present and the community team will also be staging an inflatable shoot-out, a beat-the-keeper competition, and hosting a football tournament at the nearby Kingsmeadow Athletics Centre.
