Hot-shot Caz earns award

22 July 2015

Top individual honour for ladies player

AFC Wimbledon Ladies step-up their preparations for 2015/16 this Sunday with a match against Marlow Town Ladies and star striker Caroline Bisson will go into it with an extra spring in her step.

That’s because “Caz” (pictured above) was named Player of the Year for the London & South East Regional Women’s League at their recent AGM.

It completed a hat-trick of awards for Caroline after winning the Player’s Player of the Year and Manager’s Player of the Year at the AFC Wimbledon Ladies end of season presentations night.

Of course, Dons Ladies had a highly successful season in 2014/15 with silverware in the Surrey Women’s Cup as the highlight and Caroline played a key role.

“I have been playing with quality players in a great team this year and it has bought the best out of me as a player,” Caroline said. “It feels fantastic to be named league player of the year. I must say a big thank you to all the coaches at AFC Wimbledon Ladies & Girls for all their advice and input this season.

AFC Wimbledon Ladies start their pre-season programme with a game at Marlow Town Ladies on Sunday (11.30 kick-off). The full address for the match is as follows: Furze Platt School, Furze Platt Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 7NQ.
