Watch Dons in honour of Rob

Wimbledon take on K's this Thursday

The Dons are back on home soil after a trip to La Manga and Neal Ardley’s men step-up their preparations for 2015/16 with a match against Kingstonian on Thursday (7.45 pm kick-off).

Our penultimate pre-season match against the club’s ground-sharing tenants is a testimonial for long-serving Kingstonian goalkeeper Rob Tolfrey.

Rob (pictured) has made 277 appearances for Kingstonian since signing from Horsham in 2009 and he came so close to helping K’s to promotion in his first season at the club. The popular goalkeeper quickly established himself as number one and has been a regular between the sticks ever since for the Ryman Premier club.

Speaking during an interview for the Surrey Comet, Rob said he can’t wait to face the Dons on Thursday.

“I'm really looking forward to the testimonial and I think both sides will be strong because the managers will want to field their sides for the start of the season,” said Rob.

"We haven't played Wimbledon for a long time and I think I have only played them once before. I think it will be quite close because both teams will be up for it. It will be good to have a proper game."

The match against Kingstonian will be pay on the night with the following entry prices:

Adults £8

Over-60s £5

Students (with valid NUS card) £4

Under-18s free (children under-11 must be accompanied by a paying adult).

Supporters can buy tickets on the night for the Paul Strank Stand, Chemflow End and the Your Golf Travel terrace, but the John Green Stand (North Stand) will be closed for this match.
