Family pride on Swiss turf

Your Dons on Tour pictures

Father-and-son Bryan and Benas Jennings wore their Wimbledon colours with pride at a venue in Switzerland where the Dons played a friendly game 59 years ago.

It was a poignant visit for the pair as Bryan’s late father Eddie played in a friendly match at FC Lengnau, Berne, on 2 April, 1956, a game that the Dons won 2-1.

Eddie Jennings played for Wimbledon between 1950 and 1957 when the club were in the Isthmian League.

Wimbledon supporter Margaret Hung visited St George’s Monastery, near Homs, Syria, and her picture with a Greek orthodox monk outside the historic venue is also featured.

Our kit man wanted to prove that he is clocking up the miles in preparation for the PCUK challenge next month! The other picture in our gallery shows a bike owned by Robin Bedford in the Peak District.
