Programme fair hailed a success
Organisers of Sunday’s programme and memorabilia fair at the club are already planning to stage it again next year after declaring the event a great success.
In what was a treat for programme collectors and nostalgic football fans, 20 stalls sold programmes dating back to the early 1900s right through to the present day.
Representatives from the We Are Wimbledon Fund helped organise the event, along with Terry Hall of “Terry’s Badges”. Terry was joined by his friend Gordon, who is a programme specialist from Plymouth-based Westward Programmes.
The fair took place in the main bar and Presidents Lounge with our club shop represented among the stalls and rare Wimbledon badges on sale, courtesy of Terry.
All profits from the day and a generous donation from Terry all went towards the WAWF coffers with over £400 raised in total.
