Development game at Merstham FC this afternoon
Connor Smith and Will Nightingale will aim to boost their match sharpness with run-outs for an AFC Wimbledon development team against Leyton Orient this afternoon (1.00 pm kick-off at Merstham FC).
Smith and Nightingale played 45 minutes in the Final Third Development match against Gillingham last Tuesday and they will both get more game-time today.
Midfielder Smith has not featured for the first-team since the defeat at Bristol Rovers last month due to a thigh injury and Nightingale is on the way back after six months out with a serious knee injury.
Today's game is open to spectators (£5 for everyone).
Alan Reeves’ squad will be aiming to bounce back after the 3-2 defeat at Gillingham last Tuesday and they could go top of the South Division with a victory by a two-goal margin.
