Tribute to Wimbledon legend before first home game versus Bolton
There will be a minute’s applause shortly before kick-off tomorrow in memory of former Wimbledon defender Tommy McCready.
Tommy, who played for the Dons from 1965 until 1974, made more than 400 league and cup appearances for Wimbledon at centre-back, scoring 25 goals.
In more recent times, proud Scotsman Tommy was a big supporter of AFC Wimbledon after the club’s rebirth and he continued to attend games until recently.
