Manager looks ahead to first home game of 2016/17

Neal Ardley said that AFC Wimbledon’s first home game of the season against former Premier League outfit Bolton Wanderers will be a “great occasion” for the club and he wants his players to put on a show for the fans.

channel, Neal said: “If you could have written a script for our first home game of the season, this would have been a nice one to have against a big club like Bolton. It’s a great occasion for the club, but obviously we have a job to do and we have to try and beat one of the biggest teams in the league. We are hoping to have a good go at it. We do not want to disappoint the squad and the fans. You TubeDuring an interview for our official

“Last season we played with two forwards whenever we could. It would be wrong to try and be something we are not. We want to get at teams and have a go. As long as we are as hard-working without the ball as we were during the second half of last season then it should not be a problem.

“The moment we drop those standards we may have to change our way of thinking, but we will keep on at the boys. It should be a great atmosphere as it is more or less a sell-out. As long as our boys give everything they can I am sure our fans will support them all the way.”
