Cup run-out for Barcham

19 December 2016

First-teamers to add experience at Casuals

Andy Barcham will continue his recuperation after injury by featuring in tomorrow night’s London Senior Cup tie at Corinthian Casuals (7.45 pm kick-off).

Barcham (pictured), who returned as a substitute in the 4-0 win against Port Vale after a month out with a hamstring injury, has been pencilled in for the first round match at King George’s Field.

Darius Charles will add more experience tomorrow with the centre-back earmarked for his first game in two months after a long spell out due to a thigh injury.

Coach Alan Reeves is pleased to add the first-team pair to a development squad who have lost just twice in 11 competitive games this season.

“With the next match for the Under-21s not until 10 January, this offers a chance to get vital minutes in for Andy and Darius if the manager wants to get them involved over Christmas,” said Alan. “Paul Kalambayi will partner Darius at the back and it’s a chance for him to learn off an experienced player. Andy Barcham will also play in front of Seth Owens so he can tell him where he needs to be.

“Our squad have done very well this season. In the two games we lost, we had very young sides out, but the results could have gone either way as the Under-18s did well. It is a learning curve for the lads and I expect them to work their socks off like they have done all season.”

The squad for tomorrow night is as follows: Michael Sibley, Paul Kalambayi, Toby Sibbick, Seth Owens, Darius Charles, Tom Beere, Alfie Egan, Judah Chapman, Jayden Antwi, Nathan Wood, Joe Bursik, Dan Gallagher, Andy Barcham, Neset Bellikli, Toyosi Olusanya.

Admission prices for the game are as follows:

Adults £9
