Dons can seal success at home ground

AFC Wimbledon Ladies can this Sunday seal a dramatic turnaround in fortunes by clinching the title – and spectators are welcome to cheer them onto glory.

Manager Chris Lyons took over the reins in 2014 with Dons Ladies having finished bottom of the London & South East Regional Women’s Premier Division.

However, this weekend a victory against Carshalton Athletic will confirm the Dons as Champions – two months before the end of the season - and earn a promotion to the Women's Premier League South East Division One league.

Kick-off on Sunday at Sutton’s Gander Green Lane Ground is at 2.00 pm and Haydon the Womble will be cheering on the team.

With Dons Ladies having scored 58 goals in just 17 league games this season, it’s been an entertaining season so far and they’ve already booked a place in the Surrey Women’s Cup Final, a competition won in style last season.
