Manager hails Dons support at County
Neal Ardley was full of praise for Wimbledon supporters at Notts County on Saturday after they created a “party” atmosphere at Meadow Lane.
A total of 683 Dons fans travelled up to Nottinghamshire for the game and they certainly made themselves heard as Wimbledon marched to a fourth successive victory.
“They are brilliant our away fans and I just love the buzz of them,” said Neal. “It looked like they were having a party over there! It helps when they can see the team giving everything, pressing, running and being a threat going forward. The team did that today and I don’t think there will be too many complaints. Certainly in my time it was as good a performance as the club has put in.”

Neal added that the superb form of his squad in recent weeks has reduced the likelihood of further moves in the transfer window after the signing of Connor Smith.
“The boys are buzzing off each other,” said Neal. “If you bring in, you have to bring in the right type and you do not want to upset the rhythm. There are a number of questions you ask, including ‘who is better than we have got?’ With Connor it was certainly the right thing to do, but we did not want to throw him straight in. It would have been a tough ask to throw him straight into that.”
