AFC Wimbledon’s penultimate pre-season match takes place at Woking tonight (7.45 pm kick-off) and Dons supporters can pay at the turnstiles.

Manager Garry Hill has proved adept at reshaping his squad each summer and still keeping the Cards competitive against clubs with much bigger resources.

Woking have lost key men Scott Rendell (Aldershot) and John Goddard (Swindon) this summer, but Hill has snapped up highly-rated Waford midfielder Dennon Lewis on loan.

Tonight’s hosts head into the match in good form after beating Swindon 3-1 and holding Luton Town to a 1-1 draw.

Former Don Delano Sam-Yorke played in that most recent match, but Ismail Yakubu, one of our club heroes from promotion at Manchester in 2011, missed it due to injury. 

Of course, the Dons beat Reading 2-0 last Saturday and only went down narrowly to Premier League Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
