Update from Dons Trust

11 July 2016

Members urged to get involved as Webjam nears testing

Dons Trust Board member Jane Lonsdale gives an update on the work she has been doing on behalf of the Board and Trust to enable members to be involved, be informed and be heard as part of the wider member engagement project.

As you may be aware for a number of years now the Dons Trust Board has been looking for ways to add value to Trust membership.

Board member, Jane Lonsdale, with support from David Growns and a project working team, has been working on an exclusive Trust member-only social media tool called The Trust Webjam.

The Trust Webjam will enable Trust members to be involved, be informed and be heard! It facilitates engagement online with the Board, where information can be shared, and views expressed. Discussions and polls will take place, all in a secure, exclusive members-only space. It will also give the Board a closer understanding of what our members, the owners of AFC Wimbledon, want.

Following updates at SGMs and AGMs this latest update advises members on the final testing and plans to roll out The Trust Webjam to all members at the end of August / beginning of September and some taster sessions that you may want to attend to get more information / help in signing up.

.webmaster@thedonstrust.org  followed this up with an email on 6 July. Please check your email to see if you were one of those selected and if you are able to help out and haven’t yet responded, please do so by Tuesday 12 July to  Webmaster@thedonstrust.org Jane emailed 100 members from the Trust on 29 June to invite them to join the early adopters group to pilot the site at the end of July.

with your full name, email address and membership number by 12 July.webmaster@thedonstrust.orgHowever, if any more members would like to take part in the trial please email

Assuming all goes well with the pilot, invitations will start to be sent to all Trust members at the end of August. These will go out in batches and, assuming we have an email address for you on our membership database, all members should have received an invitation by the end of September.

All members will receive an email in the next week or so outlining the roll-out along with a copy of the acceptable use policy that we are asking all members to adhere to when using The Trust Webjam.

) as soon as the dates are confirmed.www.afcwimbledon.co.uk  ) and AFC Wimbledon Official website ( www.thedonstrust.org Details of those dates will be on the Dons Trust website (  The Webjam launch will be discussed at the Dons Trust SGM on 25 August, and explanatory sessions on using the online services will be held in early September in Wimbledon and at Kingsmeadow.

Full details will be in the email you will receive with details of how to register for the site. To make the site as pleasant, inclusive and transparent as possible we are asking members to sign up using their real names, no online personas or pseudonyms please.
