New stand sponsors for 2016/17
The club has teamed up with a former Wimbledon player to announce a new sponsorship deal for the East Stand.
This terrace at the Cherry Red Records Stadium will now be known as the RyGas Stand after a local plumbing, gas, drainage and electrical company pioneered by Managing Director Ryan O’Sullivan (who is pictured above in his Wimbledon playing days).
Ryan, who played for the Wimbledon FC Academy in the late 1990s, also represented the club shortly after reformation as he played regularly for the youth and reserve teams under Nicky English and Dave Wager between 2003 and 2005.
“We are delighted that RyGas have decided to sponsor the East Stand at AFC Wimbledon. I remember Ryan from his playing days with us and I have followed his entry into the business world. It is fair to say that Ryan has done incredibly well and we are very happy to help him go to the next level.” AFC Wimbledon Commercial Director Ivor Heller said:
