Pictures sum up play-off final joy
Wembley glory is sealed for AFC Wimbledon, but it’s all a bit too much for a six-year-old Dons fan to take in!
Young Don Alfred is pictured with his father Sam, who celebrates wildly after Wimbledon’s second goal secured promotion to League 1.
It was an emotional day for the Easthall family with Alfred’s grandfather David, who has been a Wimbledon supporter since 1946, attending with his wife.
The latest range of great photographs of Dons fans celebrating our success are in the gallery above and they include pictures of Wimbledon legends Matt Everard, Terry Brown and Dave Anderson.
Anthony Moore took the opportunity to get his picture taken with Terry and Dave, the former Dons managers, and his grandsons Harry and Elliott. John Jarrett also sent in a picture with Everard, who became a favourite with supporters in the early days of AFC Wimbledon with a prolific scoring rate for a defender.
Look out in the gallery too for our dedicated volunteer Nick Brickell, who dyed his beard blue and yellow to raise funds for charity!
We’ve had a great response after a request for your Wembley pictures and there’s still time for you to share with us. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or post via our official Twitter page with #womblesatwembley .
