Dons heroes and fans celebrate historic win
Former players including Danny Kedwell and Dons from all over the world came together at Wembley to celebrate AFC Wimbledon hitting the big time once again.
The picture above shows Chris Fossey and Pete Harvey with Kedwell, our play-off hero from five years earlier, and plenty more of your favourite Wembley pictures are featured in our gallery above.
Look out for former Dons Chris Perry and Mickey Haswell in the selection, along with the Slovakian flag as Peter from Kosice joined us at Wembley. Fans from Hungary and the “Nerdfighters”, inspired by our American sponsor John Green, are also pictured cheering on the Dons.
An old style double decker bus was the transport of choice to Wembley for a group of over 50 Dons fans, including Brendan Farrell, his wife Jo and daughters Molly and Lucy. Named as the “Wembley Wombles 19 Bus", the passengers had a great time bound for glory!
