Interview with midfielder after Dons secure point at Millwall

Jake Reeves praised Wimbledon’s battling qualities and support from the 1,164 travelling Dons during an interview after last night’s draw at Millwall.

Post-match reaction from the midfielder and Neal Ardley, along with extended match highlights, are now on Dons Player.

It was a 0-0 draw that bore all the hallmarks of a long unbeaten away run as the Dons dug in to extend that sequence to nine matches since the opening day defeat at Walsall.

“We had a tough start to the season, but I don’t think any team goes into the start of the season knowing what they are going to be like,” said Jake. “The manager has recruited well and we have the same sort of sprit that we had last season, maybe with a bit more quality.

“I don’t think we massively turned up tonight because we didn’t bring our normal game, especially during the first-half, but it was an away game at The Den and it’s not an easy place to come. They play a style of football that works for them and we’ve managed to come away with a point and another clean sheet.

“We were unsure what turn-out we would get tonight as it was a night game on a Tuesday, but I thought our fans were brilliant once again. I think they showed exactly what we are about as a family club.”
