AFC Wimbledon Foundation put on activities for FA launch
AFC Wimbledon Foundation have been out in the community this week promoting FA Girls’ Football Week – and there’s still a chance to get involved.
Our coaches have been busy coordinating football sessions in schools, including for Deaf students at Oak Lodge School in Wandsworth.
A tweet sent from the school after yesterday’s session said: “Thanks to organisations like AFC Wimbledon our students are excited to get active.”
AFC Wimbledon Foundation have been putting on a variety of activities for girls in Kingston, Merton, and Wandsworth (the picture above shows girls at Tiffin School).
The Foundation are tomorrow staging two events to encourage participation in football.
The first is for girls aged 4-14 at Wimbledon Park (10.00 am until 11.30 am).
The other is for women over the age of 30 before tomorrow’s Swindon home match.
It takes place between 12 noon and 1.00 pm at the Kingsmeadow Athletics Centre.
