Plenty of post-match reaction on Dons Player
Dominic Poleon said it was “massive” for AFC Wimbledon to secure a first League One victory of the season and he saluted Dons supporters afterwards for sticking with the team.
Poleon’s first league goal of the season came in timely fashion against Chesterfield and afterwards he spoke to Dons Player about what it meant for him and the team.
“I was buzzing, the place erupted, and hopefully this is the start of many,” said Poleon. “Credit must go to the fans because they stuck with us. It was the first time I had heard them that loud. They could see in the second-half that the team was going for it. With us three coming on you could sense we could get something and luckily it has come my way!
“It has been difficult to say the least as the results have not gone our way, but I think this win is massive for us. Hopefully, it will kick-start us into showing that we are good players and that we have a group who can compete at this level.”
