Great event for the Blue and Yellow Club
Former Wimbledon manager Dave “Harry” Bassett entertained members of the Blue and Yellow Club with stories from his colourful career in football at a fascinating dinner recently.
In an event held at the Dog and Fox pub in Wimbledon Village, Dave spent three hours answering questions from members about his time with Wimbledon as a player and manager, and also the years he spent at other clubs.
Dave, who memorably guided Wimbledon FC into the top-flight during the 1980s with three promotions in four seasons, also offered his views on the potential of players in the current squad.
As one would expect, he didn’t hold anything back and told some great stories!
It was the last event in a very successful year for the Blue and Yellow club.
With the membership having increased and all the events well attended, funds to contribute to Neal Ardley’s will reach a new high.
