Free entry to enjoy an alternative Saturday
With no Saturday game for Neal Ardley’s men this weekend, our friends at Wimbledon RFC are inviting you to get behind their promotion push!
It’s FREE entry to watch the rugby at Beverley Meads and bar prices are among the cheapest around, offering a good alternative way to spend a Saturday.
Formed in 1865, Wimbledon RFC were a founding member of the RFU and are therefore one of the oldest clubs in the world.
On Saturday, Wimbledon take on Dings Crusaders in a National Two South play-off and the Dons would be very grateful for your support.
Matt Benwell, Communications Secretary at WRFC, said: “To get into National Division Two as an amateur club would be massive for us. We are a community club, offering inclusive coaching sessions for people with learning difficulties on Sundays. We started from humble beginnings, just like AFC Wimbledon, and it would be great to work more with the football club when it gets a new stadium in the borough. We would love to see AFC Wimbledon supporters at the game on Saturday.”
For anyone who wants to attend, it is a 3.00 pm kick-off on Saturday.
