Trophy surprise at school

25 April 2017

Captain Barry Fuller passes on advice about football

As part of the EFL’s Community Day of Action, we took the League 2 Play-Off trophy down to Ursuline High School and Barry Fuller came along to support the initiative.

Our captain took part in a Q & A with year seven girls, Barry talking about skippering the Dons to play-off glory at Wembley and about the players who inspired his football career.

AFC Wimbledon Foundation Coach Emma O’Connor has helped to coordinate football opportunities at the Wimbledon school, who have had great success this season.

Ursuline High School for girls have already won the Surrey County Cup at Under-16 level and they are into the Under-18 final.

A more in-depth article about today’s EFL Community Day of Action will follow on our official channels, including that entertaining Q & A with Barry!
