Barry Fuller has praised Anthony Hartigan's impact after the 17-year-old stepped up for his full league debut at Fleetwood on Saturday.
The midfielder's display was a real positive to come out of the defeat at Highbury Stadium and our captain was full of praise for his contribution.
Speaking to iFollow, Barry said: "He came in during pre-season to train with us and I am not sure what his situation was at the start, if he was just meant to be in and around it or what. Anthony came in and matched everyone in his position and obviously the manager feels he is up there, ready to play. He showed his quality out there (against Fleetwood). He is just 17 and it is a massive congratulations for the academy. It shows that the academy are producing players. For a young lad to go out there and perform like that on his debut – it is a credit to him."
