Squad for FA Youth Cup tie

1 February 2017

Under-18s virtually at full strength for tonight's game at Preston North End

AFC Wimbledon Under-18s manager Mark Robinson has named his squad for tonight’s FA Youth Cup tie with the young Dons bidding for a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.

Mark has virtually a full squad to choose from for this game with only Callum Phillip missing out after he unfortunately failed a late fitness test.

Wimbledon have so far beaten North Greenford United, Bristol Rovers, Huddersfield Town and Hull City to reach the last-16, but tonight is perhaps the biggest test yet with Preston having beaten Everton in the last round.

Speaking ahead of tonight’s cup tie, defender Tom Scott summed up the confidence of the squad after such a great run in the competition.

“At the start of the season we were a bit shaky and the boys were not always together,” said Tom. “But after the North Greenford game we started coming together as a group. We do things together a lot more often. We are always buzzing in the changing room all the time. We have a brilliant group, we are all really close, and a lot of the boys got to the fifth round of the competition last season.”

AFC Wimbledon squad for tonight: Joe Bursik, Tom Scott, Paul Kalambayi, Sean Bird, Antonio Walker, Judah Chapman, Anthony Hartigan, Toby Sibbick, Nathan Wood, Jayden Antwi, Reece Williams-Bowers, Edward Ogbebor-Onaiwu, Tino Carpene, Ethan Nelson-Roberts, Nick Akoto, Osaze Urhoghide.
