Barry Fuller sums up progress of the club

An extensive interview with Barry Fuller ahead of the game against Oxford United is now on Dons Player.

Our captain talked enthusiastically about a range of subjects during a nine-minute interview with WDON’s Rob Cornell.

Though Barry is fully focused on tomorrow’s game and preparations for Oxford, the right-back also spoke about the bigger picture and improvements made behind-the-scenes since he joined AFC Wimbledon three-and-a-half years ago.

“This football club since I’ve been here has come on in leaps and bounds,” said Barry. “Over the years it has progressed into a proper football club, which deserves to be where it is. There are a lot of people that do not get the recognition, even the manager! He is the manager of the football club, but he does a lot more than what people think to put this club where he believes it should be. He has a lot of love for the club. If you look around the training ground now, compared to when I first joined, it makes people want to come and play for this football club even more.”
