Players now edging back to fitness
Neal Ardley today confirmed that key players had returned to full training after putting their injury problems behind them.
Lyle Taylor (foot), Dean Parrett (ankle) and Andy Barcham (hamstring) were all in line for recalls to the squad for Gillingham, but the game was postponed earlier on.
“Lyle, Dean and Andy (pictured) all trained today,” said Neal. “We are delighted that those three have come through training really well and long may that continue. Jon Meades is going to be a bit more longer term and with Tom Elliott, it is probably in his best interests to take a bit more time.”
With the Dons having no first-team game until 4 February at Sheffield United, it offers an opportunity to recover the fitness of players before our League One campaign resumes at Bramall Lane.
Watch out later this week on Dons Player and the official website for extensive interviews with Neal.
