AFC Wimbledon’s development squad will take on Bostik League opposition as they prepare for the new season.
The under-21s, coached by Alan Reeves (pictured), visit Colston Avenue to play Carshalton Athletic of Division One South next Tuesday night (7.45pm kick-off). Carshalton were beaten by a Charlton Athletic XI last night.
The young Dons, who won the combined Central League South West and South East title last season, are back on home territory, but will be in the away dressing room the following Tuesday, on July 25 (also with a 7.45pm kick-off).
They face Premier Division Merstham at Moatside – where Wimbledon’s home development games are staged. Entry is £5.
There could be a familiar face in the opposing line-up as left-back Ben Harrison joined the Moatsiders recently.
Harrison suffered a broken leg while on trial with Aldershot Town last pre-season, but returned to AFC Wimbledon for his recovery and rehabilitation before linking-up with Merstham this summer.
Best wishes to Ben from all at AFC Wimbledon, as he regains full fitness.
