Young Dons at Carshalton on Tuesday

Entry prices for game at Colston Avenue

17 July 2017

AFC Wimbledon's young talents will tomorrow night be aiming to show that they can cope with the challenge of facing senior opposition in a friendly at Carshalton Athletic (7.45 pm kick-off).

With several of his development squad from last season having travelled to a first-team training camp in Wales, coach Alan Reeves will select a young side for the match against the Bostik League Division One South outfit.

"Some of the lads have gone on tour with the first-team so it will be a young squad," said Alan. "We will have the likes of Seth Owens, Paul Kalambayi and Jayden Antwi (pictured), but first-year Under-18s will also be involved. We had a training session this morning and I told them a few things I wanted them to do differently than when they are with the Under-18s. It's good to take a look at them with a few weeks to go until the season starts. I wanted to also see if the lads from last season had come back in good shape. The Under-18s play against lads of a similar age every week, but tomorrow they will be playing against a team of men."

Chris Whelpdale will add experience to the team as he continues his recuperation from injury.

Of course, support for the Dons will be very much appreciated and entry prices are as follows:

Adults £6

Over-65 £3

Under-18s £1

The full address for the ground is: War Memorial Sports Ground, Colston Avenue, Carshalton SM5 2PW.
