Neal Ardley today wished Tom Elliott all the best for the future after it was confirmed that he had joined Championship club Millwall.
Newly promoted Millwall earlier today announced Tom as their latest addition and he will officially join them on 1 July.
The 26-year-old's first season here ended at Wembley as he played a pivotal role in our promotion to League One and his excellent campaign leading the line in 2016/17 earned the club's Player of the Year award.
Neal Ardley said: "Tom told me all along that he would like to explore the opportunity of playing Championship football. If it had not worked out, he was desperate to stay and play for AFC Wimbledon. Tom called me last week and he was up front about everything, as you would expect with him. He thoroughly deserves the opportunity to play for a very good club and we wish him all the best in the future."
